Free Email Software Trials For Those on A Tight Budget

When I first started out with affiliate marketing I was on a tight budget. I knew I wanted to build a list so I started looking for free email software also called email autoresponders.

Today it is very difficult to find one that is 0 free. However, it is standard for companies to provide a free 30 day trial period.

In addition, most companies have a graded system.  The price of the service becomes more expensive as the number of subscribers increases on your email list.  This is excellent for those beginning to build an email list because it helps to keep business expenses low.

The following article covers four common autoresponder companies but it is just the tip of the iceberg. There are lots more and as the industry develops so do these email software companies, adding the newest and most up-to-date features.

I have tried and can recommend Aweber. Many of my colleagues use MailChimp. MailGet Bolt and SendIn Blue are new names for myself but they offer a free plan or trial too.

AWeber has a lot of powerful email marketing and automation tools that internet marketers need, with powerful features at every phase of the campaign. The full-featured platform includes:

Tools to Grow Your Subscriber List

You can choose from a variety of mobile-responsive sign-up forms and popups to build your list as well as integrating your list with other online tools, through easy integration with PayPal, WordPress, and other online resources. You can also seamlessly import an existing subscriber list without requiring a new opt-in.

Tools to Create and Send Emails

You can use a WYSYWG HTML editor to create attractive emails, use their library of over 700 responsive email templates to create your emails, or use an RSS feed to automatically generate emails from your blog posts.

Automate Your Funnel

With AWeber’s automation tools, you can use the drag-and-drop campaign editor to streamline your funnel. You can create personalized welcome emails, lead nurturing campaigns, and more. You can tag subscribers and trigger behaviour-based campaigns depending on the links they open.

Manage Your Subscribers

You can view and track your subscribers in real time, and create the segments that work best for you. If you are importing subscribers, you might need to answer some questions on how you have collected your data as per AWeber’s anti-spam policy which means you might have to wait until your account has been reviewed before they will allow you to import subscribers.

Tools For Intelligent Analysis

AWeber has industry-leading email deliverability, ensuring that you aren’t wasting your contacts on undelivered emails. Their email marketing tracker gives a view of all your campaigns, with the data you need to improve response.

AWeber also has a suite of mobile apps so you can manage your email marketing no matter where you are. They also have an excellent reputation, award-winning customer service, and a 30-day free trial.

MailChimp has evolved far beyond email, to become a valuable, comprehensive online marketing resource. They have a robust suite of tools and features, including:

Flexible Email Design Tools

A drag-and-drop email designer, multi-user accounts, and template library will help you create emails quickly and easily.

E-commerce Integration

When you connect your E-commerce with MailChimp, you can automate abandoned cart reminders, thank-you emails, product follow-ups, and more.

Marketing Automation

With MailChimp’s automation tools, you can segment and target customers based on behaviour, preferences, and more. In addition, a series of emails can be triggered with a single request. There is an automation tool referred to as ‘’workflow recipes’’. This provides a pre-made automation framework instead of having to build emails from scratch.

Robust Analysis and Reporting

E-commerce integration means that you can get accurate reporting and analysis of your email campaigns, and also real-time insights into sales, traffic, and ad responses with Google Analytics.

Social Ads

MailChimp allows you to create Google, Facebook, and Instagram campaigns, along with Google remarketing features that generate results.

Landing Pages

With MailChimp, you can also create mobile-friendly landing pages to improve your funnel.

API Documentation

Easily integrate existing software you already use or create your own with the MailChimp API.

Mobile App

The MailChimp mobile app lets you manage your lists and campaigns from anywhere.

Today, MailChimp offers so much more than just email. There is a comprehensive set of tools which can help you create and manage an entire funnel in a single platform. They have a “forever free” pricing package so you can try it out with no risk.

Trigger marketing and other automation tools allow you to automate many processes. Send welcome emails, drip campaigns, birthday emails, follow-up emails, and more.

A robust set of APIs allows SendinBlue to augment your WordPress, PrestaShop, Magento, and other tools to automate more effectively.

SendinBlue has a broad set of features and capabilities that make email marketing faster and easier. It is also excellent for global campaigns, with customer service and support in 6 languages, and GDPR compliance. The free plan permits you to send up to 300 emails a day, to test the service and see if it’s right for you.

The Conclusion to Free Email Software

The best way to decide which autoresponder will work for you is to make a list of your needs. Some of their software will provide functions you may never use.  Once you have a list then check the features offered carefully and choose the one which provides what you need and at the lowest price after the free trial.

For those of you who desire to build your list using landing or capture pages, there is a new player on the block that provides that service from within the autoresponder back office. it also has a free trial period and an affordable graded pricing system.

I wrote a review titled Sendlane Review of Everything You Need to Know.  If you are just looking to build a list from your blog or website it probably isn’t for you but if you build Opt-in forms give it a look. It’ll make your life easier.

  1. me personally I tried email marketing and really just wasted my money but if I ever decide to try again I might use MailChimp I’ve heard of it but really haven’t used it much I still have a account on MailChimp but have never used it as for SendinBlue I might check it out simply because I might have more luck with it

    1. Hi Harold

I know it can be frustrating starting of with email marketing. The reason why is we need to get the traffic and then continue to send valuable content.

My advice is to wait until your website made at Wealthy Affiliate is getting sufficient traffic. I would say a few hundred visitors a day and then start developing an email list.

In the meantime, work on your newsletters and free gift you will provide so it is ready to go when the time comes. There is nothing more discouraging than paying for a service when you are not able to attract the subscribers you want.

Let me know i you have any questions and I will be more than happy to answer them.

      Best of luck,

  2. Stumbled upon your post. Loved what I read there.
I am planning on installing free email softwer on my website.
I wanted to know what do you personally recommend and use right now?

Many people recommend AWebber as the best choice. I know MailChimp is really free but AWebber has a symbolic price and offer more.

    1. Hi Strahinja

Thanks for dropping by.  I used to use AWebber. I think they are a very reputable company. A couple of years ago I moved to Sendlane because they offered and integrated an opt-in page builder with the autoresponder.

I was with doing the Inbox Blueprint 2.0 training and it was recommended.

Unfortunately they have raise their prices and I am not so happy about it. However, I may return to them in the future if my marketing strategy involves opt-in pages again which I am thinking about.

I would recommend AWebber or MailChimp for folks doing email marketing without opt-in pages – just a regular website or blog..

      I hope this helps.

      Best regards,

  3. oh wow I know aweber and mailchimp were popular but the other 2 are completely new to me. I’ve used mailchimp previously but somehow I got banned for adding affiliate links in my newsletter. I did not know that aweber had a free trial so I might check it out now, hopefully I don’t run into the same problem though haha.

    Again, thanks for sharing !

    1. Hi Lucas,

Thanks for taking the time to read Free Email Software For Those on a Tight Budget. I didn’t know affiliate links are not allowed in newsletters. I would think that is something the business owner should be able to decide.

Maybe try Sendlane because it is built especially for marketers – always thinking about how to help affiliates make money.

      Bets of luck,
